Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about our services.
Can I work in Spain with the Non-Lucrative Visa (NLV)?
No. The NLV does not allow employment or self-employment in Spain. If you plan to work (including remote work), a different route such as the Digital Nomad Visa or a work permit is more suitable.
Who is eligible?
Non-EU/EEA/Swiss nationals who can prove sufficient financial means, hold private health insurance without co-pays, present a clean criminal record and medical certificate, and have a valid passport.
How much money do I need to show?
As a general rule: 400% of IPREM for the main applicant + 100% of IPREM per dependent (reviewed annually). We confirm the exact figure and proof format required by your consulate.
How long does the process take?
Timing varies by consulate. Expect several weeks to a few months from filing, plus time to gather documents, legalisations and translations.
